I totally have Daria on the brain, since I'm currently in the midst of a marathon. So I figured I would make some icons of my beloved show from my youth. Feel free to use, if you like. :)
I used to use a trial version of photoshop, but it expired. For these, I just used an old copy of PSP6 that I've had since high school. It's not a very good program, but it's good for doing the basics: fixing brightness and contrast, re-sizing, cropping, and sharpening the image. I'm too poor to buy photoshop, at this time. lol.
I would suggest Adobe Photoshop CS6. I've used it, on several occasions, and REALLY liked it. A lot of icon type accounts use it. It's rather pricey though. It takes a lot of skill though. You have to do quite a bit of tutorials and reading to get the know how of the software. Otherwise it will produce poor results.
But even with a fairly cheap software, a person can still get somewhat decent results, if they know what they are doing. I made my Friends Only Banner and Profile pic using PSP6, which I purchased back in 2001 for $70 or so.
Basically, you don't have to spend too much on image software. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish and what level of professionalism you are trying to achieve with the quality.
Me too :) I used to watch it when it was first on. Now that it's readily available online (and for free) I felt the need to walk down memory lane and have a Daria marathon.
I also named my facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/FashionClubOnline/) after the fashion club. :)
